KOTA KINABALU: DAP Sabah is wholly committed to upholding unity and mutual cooperation amongst the component parties within the Warisan Plus coalition especially in facing the upcoming general elections.
DAP Sabah Secretary Chan Foong Hin in a statement today said a meeting conducted among all secretaries of the Warisan Plus component parties, namely Parti Warisan Sabah, DAP Sabah, PKR Sabah, Amanah Sabah, and UPKO was held on Monday.
Chan, who is also Member of Parliament for Kota Kinabalu, represented the DAP in the meeting.
“Among the issue discussed during the meeting is how to make Warisan Plus a more structured coalition. We all agree that the answer to that is to stay united. Unity is the value that has to be upheld by all component parties within the Warisan Plus political coalition,” said Chan.
Chan then said that DAP Sabah is committed in alliance building in preparation for the 15th General Election which may be called anytime by the Prime Minister.
“Opposition parties in the state should put focus on alliance building. It is important to build a broader political coalition nationwide and not to limit ourselves to Pakatan Harapan alone,” said Chan.
Chan then added that the relationship amongst Warisan Plus coalition members are intact.
